ETL CZ and SK Team-Building Go-Karting in Hodonín

Some things simply can’t be replicated online. Face-to-face interaction, team energy, and healthy competition that brings out people’s natural reactions. That’s exactly what our go-kart team-building event in Hodonín delivered, kicking off the joint Czech-Slovak partner meeting.

The go-karts were the perfect start. Informal, dynamic, and yet very “people-oriented.” It was about trust, respect, fair play, and the fact that even though everyone is in their own go-kart, you can feel the team spirit every meter of the track.

In the ETL network, collaboration is built on expertise, but also on relationships. When partners from across the Czech Republic and Slovakia meet in person, something is created that is very difficult to build through emails and phone calls alone: natural rapport, ease of communication, and trust that then translates into everyday practice.

Go-karts are perfect for this. In no time at all, they create a shared experience that breaks the ice and sets the tone. They combine competitiveness, humor, adrenaline, and respect. And that’s exactly what we needed to get things started.

What I appreciate most about these kinds of gatherings is the people. The go-karts were just a starting point; what really matters is that partners from the Czech Republic and Slovakia get to meet in person. What do we take away from this?

The team-building exercise wasn’t about who was the fastest. It was about our ability to connect with one another, support each other, and build a strong foundation for collaboration—one that we can then apply to our shared initiatives, projects, and the day-to-day operations of the network.
