Changes and obligations
Európska smernica o transparentnosti v odmeňovaní prináša nové povinnosti pre zamestnávateľov. Jej cieľom je zvýšiť rovnosť odmeňovania medzi ženami a mužmi, zabrániť diskriminácii a spraviť mzdové systémy prehľadnejšími.

Key measures include, in particular:
- obligation to provide information on wage levels,
- obligation to report regularly on pay gaps,
- Introduction of procedural safeguards for employees who feel they are being discriminated against.
- For Slovakia, as an EU member state, this means an obligation to transpose the directive into national legislation by June 7, 2026, at the latest. Until then, companies are subject to the Slovak Labor Code and anti-discrimination legislation.
